You can run, you can hide….but you won’t escape the news that drones* are big news. You probably guessed we have something to say on the matter. We sure do…and it’s well thought out, client focused and we hope educational.
As a business, we always look to improve our client offerings and drones offer an entirely new space with which to provide imaging to our clients. Biggest myth; they will replace photography from a fixed wing or helicopter but open up an entire market. We look at the drone space as 10′ – 400′ in altitude that we could never safely get to before.
Over the next few weeks, we are looking to share with you our knowledge and our company’s 5 positioning statements on drones. We hope you will gain some knowledge and also learn how you hire or use drones efficiently and correctly. There is a lot of misinformation out there. We are by no means experts on drones or an authority but we are experts on aerial imagery and the business of photography.
We recently attended an aerial photography conference with the FAA representative who says “the first thing to do is educate people about the rules.” We couldn’t agree more. So, forget the tray tables…get a fix on your satellites (you’ll need four), get your operator & spotter and fire up the rotors…it’s gonna be smooth flying.
